Happy GOTCHA Day Anniversary!

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of the day we met Meigan. Today we looked at pictures from her adoption trip. The first few photos we took of her were with the orphanage staff before we were allowed to hold her. She kept asking "Where's my Mommy? Where's my Daddy?" As soon as she turned the page and saw us holding her she repeatedly said "Daddy happy, Mommy happy!" And yes, our smiles were bigger than our faces that day and I am glad that is what she noticed. We love you, Meigan, and always will. You make us HAPPY!

We went out for Chinese food tonight, the owners spoiled the girls, talked to them alot, and we had a great time. Meigan's favorite part, however, was the strawberry ice cream. After she finished eating it all with a spoon she picked up the bowl to drink from it and sadly said "It won't come out!"

Brian's youngest brother got married today to his lovely wife Mikaela. We are so excited for them. Unfortunately, we were too busy chasing kids around the temple grounds and keeping them out of water fountains that I didn't get any great pictures of the bride and groom.....just plenty of all the little kids! That's what the photographer is for....right????

Now that's some good corn!

Yellowstone Adventure

Labor Day weekend Brian and Dalton took a trip to Yellowstone with Brian's Uncle Mark, his cousin Kevin, and his son, James. It was a backcountry canoe trip that requiered alot of paddling, some portaging (walking the canoes upstream, through much more difficult water than pictured), and a whole lota fun. Dalton and James are the same age and they had a great time together. We were worried they may have been a little to young, but they did a great job of not complaining and always willing to help and get things done. Our campsite was right on the lake and it was beautiful. We caught 9 fish in the few hours that we went fishing and had a great time hiking around our camp. It was so much fun that we plan on doing it again next year.
